Meet Dr. Charles Greene, a board-certified otolaryngology-head and neck surgeon at Jacksonville ENT Surgery. With locations in Jacksonville and Lake City, Florida, Dr. Greene is committed to providing excellent patient care.

Despite facing early challenges growing up in Compton, California, he excelled academically and earned his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine where he was involved in student government and various health care organizations. Dr. Greene's passion for medicine was solidified during his time at the University of Washington School of Medicine where he simultaneously earned his MD and PhD degrees in physiology and biophysics. His research on brain receptors was published in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Neurophysiology and the European Journal of Pharmacology. After completing his residency training in general surgery and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of Michigan, Dr. Greene discovered a novel hearing loss gene. His research on hearing loss gene DFNA-25 is published in the American Journal of Human Genetics, exemplifying his dedication to advancing medical knowledge. Despite his many accomplishments, Dr. Greene's top priority is always providing the best emotional and physical care to every patient.
